I have struggled with a bad personal habit for years, and this book has inspired me that I can break the habit in the name of Jesus. I have always felt terrible about the times I fell short but I was inspired that Jesus is bigger than my addiction, and He will guide me out.

If you are tired of your fears, tired of feeling rejected, and tired of your addictions including your addiction of wanting to be loved whether in person or through social media, this book is for you. The book also goes into anger and comfort issues. It only takes about five hours to read the whole book, and it will be worth your time.

When I first heard the title of Louie Giglio’s book I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but once I dove into the book I realized it was exactly what I needed!

Louie is a powerful speaker and has a great way of relating a story to a topic to make it easier to understand. He does that so well in this book.

When starting the book it could be easy to say I don’t know what my giant is, but Louie did an excellent job handling this. He explained that we each have a giant, but we may be comfortable with it and we need to ask God to reveal it to us. For others, the giant is clear.

One of the points that stood out to me is that we are not David in the story of David and Goliath. I found Louie’s perspective to shed a new light on a popular story.

Since starting this book, I have become more aware of the points Louie made in this book. He not only brought giants to light, but also offered guidance through God on how to overcome these giants.

Louie was relatable as he shared his own giant and his journey with the giant. I also appreciate how Louie shared that he is still overcoming his giant. Many people will write books and offer this splendid life where instantly everything is rainbows and pots of gold, but we know life doesn’t always (usually) work that way. This book was both honest and practical and I really appreciate that.

There are many giants in our lives and many we don't even realize we are facing. After reading Goliath Must Fall I'm ready to identify and tackle the giants that are holding me back. Regardless if you know you are facing giants or your just struggling I recommend that you read this book it will open your eyes to identify your giants.

How great is our God. He has already felled our giants on the cross. Our giants of fear, rejection, comfort, anger, and addiction are powerless as we worship in His presence. Authentically sharing from his own story, Louie shows us that Jesus is our conquering shepherd king. Using David's own words from Psalms, we can worship our all powerful God. He is glorified as His victory is extended to us As His presence banishes our giants.

I loved "Goliath Must Fall" for a few reasons, first it was easy to read and understand, second I learned more about the Psalms and I want to go back and reread them all again, third I did get a back story, a new perspective on the David and Goliath story, fourth The Holy Spirit was speaking to me about my giants and Lou was gently showing me how I can face my giants with my heart wide open in faith.
You have got to read this book, you don't have to choose to face your giants right away because I understand the fear of facing them, but you can take this book, with your Bible and just read all the things that Louie says that can help you, bookmark all the scriptures he quotes in the book, and bookmark all the pages that speak to your heart! I was afraid to read the book because I didn't want to be forced to face my giants, but force is not the word I should be using! Louie doesn't force you, it was my own fear that if I read this book I would be forced to face them, no , a better word is choose, with this book I can choose to face them! I was a little upset he mentioned my eating the whole bag of Oreos, how did he know? It's ok! This book isn't scary, this book isn't another self help book, this book is really about Jesus and God's grace and so much more! This book is for everyone! Even Louie shares about his own giants, I would never have known he had giants! I mean, he does great things for God and he has giants in his past! I like that!

Regardless of the snake hunting and the image of Goliath's headless body :joy:Goliath must fall is funny, convicting, encouraging, enemy slaying and absolutely life changing! This book is not just for Christians, every person would see a piece of themselves on every page! Plus you get to see Louie Gilgio's transparency, vulnerability and his heart for God and for the people. What a blessing to be able to read this amazing book! Thank you for writing this life transforming book!

Love that this book doesn't shy away from the hard issues that we all face ... whether that be fear, rejection, addiction, anger, [fill-in-the-blank]. It can often seem like a losing battle, but Louie reminds us that no matter how big our giants are, we have a BIGGER God. It's not about trying harder, but about letting God do what we can never do our own. Jesus is > than any giants that we are facing or will face in the future. Thank you for writing a positive book on the negatives (giants we face everyday). I am so encouraged by reading and fully understanding that I do have giants in my life. My precious grandson passed away in January of this year. I felt helpless and hopeless at the same time to be able to make things better for my daughter. Omgoodness, this was an amazing book!! I have several giants that must fall and this book has opened my eyes!! We are not David in the story of David and Goliath, JESUS IS!!
